Rhonda LaShun (McDowell) McDowell

Rhonda Lashun McDowell passed away Wednesday morning, June 5, 2019, in Temple, Texas at the age of 55.  A memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel,  8220 Woodway Drive, Waco. With Pastor N.C. Sargent officiating.

Rhonda was born February 14, 1964, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter  of the late Earnest T. and Florence (Filmore) McDowell.   She graduated from Wilmer Hutchins High School in 1982.   Rhonda continued her education at ElCentro College in Dallas.  Much of her life was spent in the home health care business as a nurse.  Rhonda was a devout Christian lady who gave her life to Christ and enjoyed doing for others.  Throughout her life she enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her family.

Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Marion McDowell and Cherie Moore.

Survivors include three daughters, Latoya McDowell and partner Kentrell Hawkins both of Dallas, Jerrica McDowell of Tucson, AZ, Meloney McDowell McKillion and husband Seth of Waco; two brothers, Edward McDowell and wife Renae of Cedar Hill, Anthony McDowell  of Plano; two sisters, Gertrude McCoggle and husband Tronny of De Soto, Andrea Vassel and husband Michael A. of Red Oak; grandchildren Devin McDowell, Deonte McDowell, Malachi McDowell, Mariah McDowell, Kyle Pruitt and a host of aunts ,uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
