Reginald Russell

The spirit of Reginald (Regie) Edward Russell departed this world at home on November 11, 2011. Regie requested no service, but a remembrance celebration at his home with his family on December 3, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. He leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Diane Byford Russell, son, Justin Russell, step-son, Andy Kienitz, sister, Barbara Chenot of Michigan and brother, Gary Russell of Arlington, Texas. Regie will be cremated with his remains spread in spots he loved – The soil of Texas, the Gulf coast off of Port Aransas and the Atlantic coast off of Key West Florida.

After graduating high school in Alma Michigan, Regie served 4 years in the Navy and then graduated from Engineering School in Wisconsin. In 1963, he moved to Killeen, Texas to join IBM. In 1974, he moved to Hewitt, Texas, continuing his career as a computer engineer until his retirement in 1993. Regie will be remembered for his love of family, Corvettes, motorcycles, easy going ways and the stray cats that became family members over the last 35 years.
