Regina Michele Perkins, 51, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at her home in Lorena, Texas. She celebrated her first birthday in heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Woodway, Texas. Burial will follow at Stanford Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 26 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Grace Gardens.
Regina was born on February 19, 1972 in Longview, Texas to Norma and William Perkins of Waco, Texas. She was fiercely independent, had an unparalleled work ethic, and was always one of the smartest people in the room. She graduated from Midway High School in 1990 where she enjoyed competing in volleyball, cheerleading, UIL Accounting, and the National Honor Society. She then pursued an accounting degree at Baylor University, graduating in 1993.
Regina started her career at Jaynes, Reitmeier, Boyd & Therrell, and then worked at Patillo, Brown & Hill before starting her own accounting firm out of the family home in 2003. She worked hard and she loved the work that she did, gaining a reputation for putting her clients at ease and building a thriving business where people walked in as potential clients and walked out as friends.
She enjoyed spending time boating on Lake Whitney and on her Mamaw Hazel’s boat in the Gulf of Mexico. She loved to plan vacations for her family and friends, and she especially enjoyed her many trips and vacations with her husband, David. She was an avid supporter of Baylor Athletics alongside David, and served on the Board of the Waco Family Abuse Center for several years.
Regina loved being a mom to her two kids, Blake and Megan, a stepmom to Kaylee, Jackson, and Landon, and “GG” to her three grandkids, Arden, Collins, and Sloan. She dearly loved all of her cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles, and she enjoyed being called “Sissy” by her mom, dad, brother, and close relatives. At a young age Regina became her brother David’s second mom, and she loved her “Bubba” dearly.
In addition to her kids and grandkids, Regina is survived by her husband, David Crelia, her brother, David Perkins, and her parents, Norma and William.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Regina’s memory to the Waco Family Abuse Center at www.familyabusecenter.org/donate.
