Randy Gilliland

Randy Gene Gilliland, 53, of McGregor, passed away January 16, 2012. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Fitzhugh and Pastor Billy Pedigo officiating. Burial will follow in McGregor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Randy was born October 16, 1958, to Bobby and Evia Mae Gilliland in Waco, Texas. Randy attended First Assembly of God in Moody, Texas. He loved fishing, hunting, dancing and animals. He was a carpenter by trade. He had a special love for children and they returned that love to him.

Randy is survived by his parents Bobby and Evia Mae Gilliland of McGregor; sisters Pam Preston and husband Bart of McGregor; Sandra Schermerhorn and husband Richard of Arlington; a brother Jimmy Gilliland and wife Dana of McGregor and two nieces and three nephews and two great nephews.

Pallbearers will be Garry Landers, Brandon Preston, Steve Henderson, Richie Schermerhorn, Mike Campbell and Roy Lee Snoddy.
