Ramilaben D Patel was born in Varad gaam, India on November 14, 1949. She completed her education at Varad Highschool, then shortly after married Dayarambhai in 1970 with whom she created a life in both India and America. In 2001 she lost her vision but that did not stop her from achieving her goals and bringing her family to the United States with her husband by her side and her strong will, they moved from everything they have always known in India to the U.S. in 2006 and then in 2007 moved to Waco, TX where she lived out the rest of her life enjoying time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Dayarambhai, and their Seven daughters and a son; Falguni, Manisha, Dipika, Sheela, Nita, Kala, Chetna, and Divyesh.
Throughout her life she faced many hurdles that most people would not be capable of handling yet she is an amazing woman one that never let one of life’s biggest hurdles, the loss of her sight, slow her down. She learned to adapt, and always wanted what was the best for everyone and anyone who came into her life. When I think of strong, generous, loving, amazing, wonderful, and any other equivalent term I think of her. She embodied what it meant to take what ever life throws at you and make it your own and turn it into success. A lesson to learn from her is that true happiness comes from loving the life you have, not the life you want. She truly loved the life she had and everyone in it.
