Ralph Dickson

Ralph B. Dickson, age 89, of Waco passed away at a local hospital November 6, 2009. Graveside services will be held at 10AM, Monday November 9, 2009 at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana, TX. A celebration of his life will follow at 3Pm at Central Presbyterian Church in Woodway with Rev. Kenny Dickson and Rev. Dorothy Dickson-Rishel.

Ralph was born April 12, 1920 in Corsicana. He graduated from North Texas State University. He married Harriett Thames in 1942. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He returned from WWII and was employed by the Texas Veterans Affairs Commission where he served veterans for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years . He is survived by three daughters; Diane Shelton and her husband David, Pat Ridlehuber and Peggy Pierce and husband Bill. A brother; Kenneth Dickson and wife Mary Jane. A niece; Dorothy Dickson Rishel. A nephew; Kenny Dickson. 5 Grandchildren; Stacey Grider, Julie Ridlehuber, Mike Shelton, Jennifer Pierce and Leslie Whitehead. 3 Great Grandchildren; Cason, William and Alaina.
Honorary Pallbearers will be David Shelton, Bill Pierce, Mike Shelton, Gil Grider and Clay Whitehead.

The family would like to thank Dr. John Kosarek, the Staff and Caregivers at Regent Care Center for their kindness and loving care. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
