Prebble Beaird

Prebble Nunn Beaird, 82, went to sleep on earth and awoke in heaven, Saturday, February 17, 2018 after a recent illness. A celebration of her life will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, with Rene’ Maciel officiating. A graveside service will be 4:00 pm, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Lufkin, Texas with Phyllis Gamble officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Monday, February 19, 2018 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, in Woodway, Texas.

Prebble was born in Groveton, Texas June 7, 1935. She married her husband of 61 years, J.L. Beaird, February 9, 1957. She lived most of her life in Lufkin, Texas. Along with her husband J.L., she enjoyed many years of traveling across the State of Texas and developing life long friendships with civil engineers and their spouses who worked with the Texas Department of Public Transportation. She was a homemaker and was deeply devoted to serving and caring for her family. She and J.L. moved to Waco, Texas in 2013. She was a member of First Baptist Church Lufkin and later of First Woodway Baptist Church.

Mrs. Beaird was preceded in death by her father Richard Samuel Nunn; mother Ollie Connell Nunn; sisters Catherine Nunn, Lillie Mae Nunn, Joy Nunn Wallace; and brother R.L. Nunn.

She is survived by her loving husband J.L. Beaird; daughter Carrie Beaird of Plano; son Dr. Mark Beaird and wife Beth Harrell Beaird of Woodway; grandchildren Andrew Beaird, Philip Beaird, and Rebekah Beaird.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to Providence Hospice of Waco, 6700 Sanger Avenue, Waco, Texas 76710 or First Woodway Baptist Church Missions Fund, 101 Ritchie Road, Woodway, Texas 76712.
