Paul Dewayne Kilpatrick, Assistant City Manager of McGregor, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, August 5th, 2021. Due to the rise in Covid cases, the family wishes not to have any services at this time. Please feel free to leave them a message on the tribute wall.
Paul was born February 12th, 1963 in Fort Worth, Texas to SG and Geneva Kilpatrick. They then moved to Hereford, Tx, where Paul grew up, went to school, started a family and worked for the City of Hereford. He worked his way up to Public Works Director, and very much enjoyed his time with the Hereford Fire Department. Upon retirement in 2011, he moved to Austin and started work with the City of Cedar Park.
He married the love of his life, Teresa Kilpatrick, on June 9th, 2012. Together they moved to McGregor, Texas. While in McGregor, Paul completed the Certified City Manager training through Texas State in San Marcos. Paul oversaw all public works operations in Water, Wastewater, Parks, Fleet Management and Streets.
Paul always had a beautiful and inspiring love for Jesus and his family. His humor, good looks and kindness drew people to him. His faith, honor, courage and leadership kept them there. Paul was most happy when surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by parents, SG and Geneva Kilpatrick; brothers, Timmy and Charles Kilpatrick, and daughter, Amy Kilpatrick. We take comfort in him getting to see his baby girl again!
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Kilpatrick; children, Katherine Kilpatrick, Paul Kilpatrick, Stacey Miranda; stepchildren, Julio Seretti, Emilio Seretti, and Lauren Seretti; grandchildren, Ethan Jones, Dylan Jones, Malia Miranda, and Layla Miranda; siblings, Virgil Kilpatrick and Brenda Johnson.
