Patsy Jane (Cook) Seay

Patsy Jane Cook Seay, 80, of McGregor, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021, at home with her loved ones close by.  A Visitation with the family will be 10 am, Monday, August 30th at the McGregor Cemetery.  A Graveside Service will follow with Pat Richardson officiating.

Patsy was born June 20, 1941, in McGregor, Texas, to Lela Dodson and Price Cook.  She was a 1959 graduate of McGregor High School. She was a secretary for Hillcrest Hospital in the radiology department.  In 1970, she married Ensley Ray Seay, and together they raised seven children.

Patsy was a lifelong member of College Avenue Baptist Church in McGregor. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, as well as discovering her genealogy.

She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Ensley Ray Seay; sons, Charles Keith Searcy, Billy Franklin Searcy; sister, Mary Drake; grandson, James Kolar Bates, and stepson, Gary Ray Seay.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Chip Seay and partner Janelle Klein, David Seay and partner Jeff Armstrong; daughters, Susan McGrath and husband Pat, Donna Bates and husband Jim; sister, Sally McBrine; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
