Pat Holcomb

Pat Holcomb, 71, of Waco passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at a local hospital. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 2pm at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Toby officiating.

Pat was born on December 16, 1939 in Trinidad, Texas to Garrett and Alpine Holcomb. He graduated from Trinidad High School and earned an athletic scholarship to play basketball for Henderson County Jr. College (Trinity Valley Jr. College) in Athens, Texas. Pat went on to graduate with a Business degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Pat was a loving husband and father. He and his wife Jeannie were married for 49 years and had 3 daughters - Jill, Jan, and Judy. He was a HUGE sports fan and coached many youth sports teams when his daughters were younger.

Pat was the self-proclaimed #1 Dallas Cowboys fan, a sports trivia genius, and an avid golfer. He loved his Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, and SMU sports teams.

A highly successful salesman, Pat worked for IBM/Eastman Kodak for 35 years selling everything from typewriters to copiers and then computers. He repeatedly earned President's Club status and won top sales awards and accolades.

In retirement, Pat enjoyed watching sports, spending time with family, going to concerts, watching American Idol, and playing golf in the Senior League.

Pat is survived by his wife Jeannie and 3 daughters Jill Beaupain, Jan Valentine, and Judy Holcomb.
