Otis C. Webb Jr., 93, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Dr. with Bro. Pat Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 5 -7 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Otis was born Feb. 19, 1923 to Otis C. Webb, Sr and Nanny (Graham) Webb in McGregor. Otis graduated from McGregor High School in 1940. He then enlisted and served in the Navy in 1942. After his service, Otis attended Baylor, Temple, Texas A&M and ultimately graduating from Sam Houston and Drake University, earning two degrees in pharmacology and criminology. After his education he moved and began living in Iowa, where he worked as a pharmacist. In 1967, Otis moved back home to McGregor and began working at the Gatesville State School. In 1982, Otis retired and started his own business making and selling lawn ornaments and other imports from mexico. In his free time, Otis loved bird watching, drinking coffee and tending to his garden. On April 13, 2011 Otis moved into Westview Manor, where he lived out his remaining years happily.

Otis was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Virginia Skinner; second wife, Rosella Webb; two children, Robert Morrill and Nicholas Webb; grandchild, Matthew Adamson; and his brothers and sisters.

Otis is survived by his children, Bob Webb and wife, Ann, Ronny Morrill and wife, Brenda, Richard Atkinson, Randy Webb and wife, Teresa, Rebecca Medrano and husband, Jay, DeeDee Travis; and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Webb; twenty-three grandchildren, and thirty-one great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Yvonne Webb; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to especially thank the staff at Westview Manor and Providence Hospice for their special care of Otis.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice benefiting disabled veterans.
