Orien DeVon Bagley, Jr., 77, of Waco, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020. A Memorial Service will be planned for a later date.
Orien was born September 14, 1943 in Chillicothe, Mo to Orien, Sr. and Virginia Bagley. He served three years in the U.S. Army of which 13 months were in Korea. He was honorably discharged at a rank of Spec 5 in 1964. He married Carolyn Stroud in 1963 in Marceline, Mo, the couple had two children. He later reunited after a 12 year separation from his teenage sweetheart, and married Lanah Bryant Goodman in 1971. They were married in Kansas City, Mo. with Dave and Anita Schreiner as best man and Matron of honor. The couple resided in Manteno, IL from 1971 until 1977 when they moved to Waco, Tx. He retired in 2005 as a paint contractor in the Waco area; he had an inherited business from Charles Evans.
Orien is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Sue Riddle and Vickie Parsons.
He is survived by his wife, Lanah; children, Renea Lee Apel and husband David of Moberly, Mo., Bryan DeVon Bagley and wife Amy of Deepwater, Mo; grandchildren Amber Singer and husband Buddy of Hale, Mo., Kelsey Tornow of Meadville, Mo; great grandchildren, Kolby, Kase, and Kipton Singer; siblings, William V. Bagley of Indian Mound, Tn, Sherry Kelsey of Ft. Worth, Tx, Anita Schreiner and husband Dave of Kansas City, Mo., Sandie Paris and husband Ronnie of Lorena, Tx, ad Robert Bagley of Philippines.
