Nova Jean Young Waldschmidt, born February 21, 1940, passed over into the arms of her savior on February 26, 2020. Visitation will be Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. Services will follow on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 11:00 am at Crossroads Fellowship Church in Woodway.
Nova Jean was born in Flat, Texas. She was the daughter of Robert and Jean Thedford. She was the oldest of four siblings and joined in heaven with her sister Pat Koukoulis and brother Bob Thedford. She is survived by her sister Debra Galanffy and husband Adam. She was also greeted in heaven by her mother and father as well as her son-in-law Darrell Jones (DJ).
Nova Jean married Elmer Waldschmidt on June 2, 1961. She was a devoted housewife and a mother of four; Robbyee Thedford of Belton, Texas, Steve Waldschmidt and wife Diane of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Lisa Jones and late husband Darrell (DJ) of Lorena, Texas, and Mark Waldschmidt and wife Traci of Hewitt, Texas. Nova Jean had seven grandchildren: Darrell Jones Jr. and wife Hollie, Megan Hawthorne, Kylar Thompson and husband Mark, Chelsea, Sara, and Caroline Waldschmidt, and Kelci Waldschmidt. She was also blessed with five great grandchildren; Hayven, Journie, and Ryder Jones and Jaylen and JaKobe Brackens.
Nova Jean was a devoted Christian and shared her faith with all she came in contact with. She will be deeply missed by many.
