Nina Groth

Nina Jean Sanders Groth passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning November 29,2016. Graveside services will be on Monday December 5, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Waco Memorial Park with visitation on Sunday December 4, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Grace Gardens.

Nina was born the youngest of twelve children in Cisco, Eastland County, Texas to William Lindsay Sanders and Ollie Mae Wells Sanders on August 6, 1927. She moved with her family to Waco, Texas in the spring of 1937. She attended Waco Schools and graduated from Waco High School at the Columbus Avenue location in the spring of 1944. She attended Baylor and worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Nina met Herman Groth in January of 1948, they married on January 1, 1949. They had two sons, Bruce and Bill. Herman and Nina continued to live in Waco, for the remainder of their lives.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband Herman, her sisters Grace Forde, Amber Daniel, Pearl Morgan, Era Devenport, Nellie Elin, Betty Tynes, and her brothers Raymond Sanders, William Sanders, Leonard Sanders and Bruce Sanders.

She is survived by her sons, Bruce and Bill and his wife, Rosemarie. She is survived by four grandchildren; Kimberly, husband, Murray Evans, Bruce Groth Fadal , wife, Jessica, William Groth , wife, Jamie, and Wes Groth ,wife, Morgan. Four great granddaughters Regan, Maddie, Lauren Evans and Haley Groth, three great grandsons Hayden and William River Fadal and Hayden Lee Groth. She is survived by one sister Myrtle Burrow and numerous nieces and nephews.
