Nancy Jones

NANCY LOU JONES, 65, of Valley Mills, Texas went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2010, after a courageous 2-1/2 year battle with pancreatic cancer. Nancy, who lived most of her life in Valley Mills was a kind, gentle and classy lady.

Memorial services will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, December 7 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Woodway.

Nancy was born on November 5, 1945 in San Antonio, the daughter of Bertie Lou (Walker) and John Bunyan (Bun) Jones. She graduated from Valley Mills. She was one day away from her retirement date to celebrate 34 years of dedicated service to the Human Resources department of Providence Hospital where she had made many close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James H. (Jimmy) Jones of Clifton.

Nancy especially enjoyed family reunions, shopping trips to Fort Worth and Canton Trade Days. She was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and could hold her own in a conversation of football. Those left behind to cherish Nancy's memory are her loving friend, Terry Sechrist of Laguna Park; brother Johnny and wife Anita of Fort Worth; brother Charles of Temple; sister-in-law Shirley of Clifton; seven nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the American Cancer Society or organization of choice.
