Monty "Monty" Stem

Wiley Montgomery Stem, 58, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at a local hospital.
Monty was born March 7, 1951 in Waco. He graduated from Marlin High School where he participated in all sports, and lettered in football and basketball. He attended McLennan Community College in Waco and Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene. In 1976, Monty married the mother of his children, Rosalie Vrba. He was employed by M&M Mars for numerous years. Monty enjoyed hunting, camping, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Stem. Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Sidney “Jack” Stem and his wife, Jo; daughter, Wendy Gaspard and her husband, Philip; son, Matthew Stem; sisters, Laura Lee Pirtle and her husband Glen, Sandy Tusa and her husband, Frank; brothers, Mark and his wife, Drew, Brian and his wife, Ferrisa; and several nieces and nephews.
