Monika Braun

Monika Helga Braun,68, of Waco, died at a local hospital on March 29, 2012. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel, with a visitation being held one hour prior to the service from 5:00 to 6:00.

Monika was born on May 18, 1943 in Eilenburg, Germany to Hildegard and Gottfried Gruhn. She and her mother immigrated to the United States in 1957. She was employed at LL Sams for many years and enjoyed spending time with family and her faithful dog, Queeny. Monika was a caring and giving person and even after death she continued her giving ways by being an organ donor.

She is survived by her daughters Christine McMains and husband Jack, Penny Shelton and husband Tip, Arlene Gilcrest and husband Brian, and Angela Baker; son Jimmy Foster and wife Rebecca; Alfred Braun; nine grand children and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Barbara Ann Foster.
