Mina Brown

Mina J. Brown, age 96 of Waco, passed away at a local nursing facility Friday November 12, 2010. Graveside Funeral services will be 10AM Monday, November 15, 2010 at Moody Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 4 pm, Sunday November 14, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Moody.

Mina was born and raised in Baird, Texas. She spent her early years on the farm, where she maintained a garden and raised pigs. IN the latter years she worked in the Moody Nursing Home. All of her life she felt it was her duty to take care of not only her children, but also her grandchildren. Mina was also well known for her abilities in the kitchen. She was known for taking very little and making it into a lot.

Mina was preceded in death by her husband Will Brown; Mother Marie Shelton Eakin; Father Clarence Wyatt; siblings Leo Wells and Dee Bingham; sons James Ray Brown and Leo Brown; grand sons Glenn Brown, Terry Joe Brown, Matthew Wyatt Ash and Johnnie Brown.

She is survived by six children Nell Baker, Billy Joe Brown and his wife Leahann, Cordice Brown and his wife Delores, Robert Wayne Brown and his wife Ann, Vicki Ash and her husband Merle and John Brown and his wife Chris; Many, many grandchildren and also great grandchildren.
