Melinda Marquez

Melinda Garcia Marquez, 55, of McGregor passed away Sunday Jan. 10, 2016. A Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday January 17, 2016 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. A dinner with the family will be immediately following at the A.M.A Hall in McGregor, TX.

Melinda was born Sept.29, 1960 in Mathis, Texas to the late Martin and Alejandra Sepeda Garcia Sr. Melinda attended McGregor High School. She was employed by Smead Manufacturing for 30 years. Melinda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, but most of all her grandsons.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Martin Garcia Jr., one sister, Dalia Garcia and three infant children, son, Jose and daughters, Elizabeth and Alejandra Marquez.

Melinda is survived by her son, Steve and wife Marche Marquez of Gatesville, brothers; Samuel Garcia and wife Norma of Abilene, Edward and Daniel Garcia of McGregor; sisters Susana Gilmore and husband Rick of Robinson, grandsons, Mason and Judson Marquez as well as several nieces and nephews and two great nieces .
