Melanie Gilman

Melanie Gilman, 37, of Waco, went to be with her Lord Jesus Wednesday, December 19, 2012. She was surrounded with love by her family when she drifted off to be with the Lord. Melanie was born to Gary and Janell Gilman of Waco, TX on February 11th, 1975 in Eastland, TX. She went to Waco Christian and graduated from TSTC with a degree in Landscape Design.
Melanie was gifted at working with plants, loved people and the outdoors, and enjoyed the beauty of God’s creation. Melanie grew up in Waco, traveled the US, and was dedicated to loving people and serving others.
Melanie is survived by her pride and joy, her son, Kade Gilman-Lemons; parents, Gary and Janell Gilman of Waco; siblings, Kevin Gilman and wife, Dee and nephew, Keagan of Sand Springs, OK and Becky Swails and husband, John of Tulsa, OK.
To celebrate Melanie’s life, a memorial service will be held at Highland Baptist Church on January 12, at 10:00 a.m.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Providence Hospital for their support and loving care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Providence Hospital in the name of Melanie Gilman.
