Megan Self

Megan Lynn Self age 19 of Crawford passed away tragically in an auto accident Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Funeral Services will be 11AM Saturday April 9, 2011 at Harris Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow at McGregor Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Friday April 8, 2011 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

Megan was born July 4, 1991 in Waco, Texas to Lonnie and Stella Self. She graduated from Crawford High School in 2010 where she participated in track and cross country. She was currently attending McLennan Community College. Megan loved going to the Waco Humane Society to look at animals but loved them so much she often wanted to sneak them out. Megan had a sweet spirit and a smile that made the world a better place. That smile will be missed by all.

She was proceeded in death by her mother, Stella Beltran Self, her grandparents Noe and Cinderella Beltran and Clyde Self and Patsy Hogue McFarland.

She is survived by father and step-mother, Lonnie and Brenda Self of Crawford; grandparents James and Lynette Shepperd of Speegleville; sister, Ashley Self of Crawford, brother, Zachary Self of Waco; step-sister, Angela Garrett Walton of Crawford and husband David Walton; step brother, Jason Kunkel of Hewitt and wife Lacy D Kunkel; nieces Madison Garrett, Kaidy “Bug” Kunkel, and nephew Corbin Walton, boyfriend Charlie Rogers of Robinson, many special aunts, uncles, cousins, wonderful friends, and teachers, beloved pets Marley and Muffin.
