Mary Ann (Maldonado) Rodriguez

Mary Ann Rodriguez of Hewitt passed from this life to a more comfortable place on November 1, 2022. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel, 8220 Woodway Drive, Waco, TX. The Rosary will be on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St Jerome Catholic Church, 9820 Chapel Rd, Waco, TX 76712, followed by Mass at 11:00 AM. Afterwards, the burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, 2124 S 5th St Waco, TX, 76706.

Mary Ann was born on January 4, 1956, in Plainview, Texas. Mary Ann worked for many years at TU Electric in Plano until she eventually retired from Atmos Energy in Waco. Since then, she has enjoyed time watching her grandchildren and great-grandson grow up and being an active part of their lives. Mary Ann was also a dedicated member of St Jerome Catholic Church of Waco. She remained an active member there until she was no longer physically able to do so but her desire to be a part of her Church never wavered.

Mary Ann will be remembered for her love of gardening, roses, and succulents especially.  Her grandsons adored her and are grateful for the time they had with her.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Rick Rodriguez, and son, Aaron Rodriguez, both of Hewitt, and by her parents, Baldemar and Estela Maldonado of Austin.

Mary Ann is survived by her children Rick Rodriguez, Jr. of Pflugerville, Texas and Erik Rodriguez of Hewitt. Her grandchildren are Brock Rodriguez and Jessica Lopez and Austin Rodriguez both of Hewitt. Her great-grandson, Mateo Rodriguez. Mary Ann also leaves behind her siblings Ernest Maldonado (Angie) of Austin; Vilda Guerra (Alvino) of Manchaca; Baldemar Maldonado, Jr. (Olga) of Austin; Chris Maldonado (Nancy) of Austin; Esteban Maldonado (Jolene) of Pflugerville; Matias Maldonado (Diana) of Austin; Marcella Matthews of Austin; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers include Steve Maldonado, Austin Rodriguez, Brock Rodriguez, and Rick Rodriguez, Jr. Honorary Pallbearer will be Mateo Rodriguez.
