Mary Thomas

Mary went to be with the Lord on the morning of August 15, 2024. 

Mary was born to Jimmy and Annie Morgan of Waco on July 1, 1938. She grew up and lived in the Waco, Bellmead area all her life. As a teenager she worked with her mother at Wolf’s sewing factory. 

She married William (Bill) Thomas in 1957 and became a homemaker. He was the love of her life. They had four children, Dale Thomas, Judy Johnson, Jackie Thomas and Charles Thomas. They lived in Bellmead for many years. Family loved to gather at their home for her home-made meals and her great desserts. He was the love of her life. Although they divorced later in life, he was always the love of her life, and they remained friends until his death in June 2015. 

Mary was a member of the Salvation Army church and loved going to church. She loved and enjoyed baking goodies for her church family and friends. 

She preceded in death by her parents Jimmy Morgan and Annie Morgan. Her brother Don Keith Morgan and son Dale Thomas. 

She is survived by her daughter Judy Johnson of Waco, Jackie and Sharon Thomas of China Springs, and son Charles Thomas of Ok. She has 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. 

The family would like to thank Almo Hospices for the great care they gave her and the comfort for the family. 

A service in honor of Mary will be at 11:00am, Friday, August 30, 2024 at Rosemound Cemetery.
