Mary Peterson

Mary Ann Peterson passed away in Waco, TX on September 18, 2016 at the age of 84. Mary was born on April 2, 1932 to her parents, Henry F. Dummer and Ida M. (Bauer) Dummer. She graduated from Rockford East High School in 1950. She married Jerome Peterson in 1953.

Mary was a long time member of the local League of Women Voters. Her passion was being a loving homemaker, wife, and mother from her home of 47 years in rural Rockton, IL.

Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jerome Peterson; her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Sheri Peterson of McGregor, TX; her son, Daniel Peterson of Brigham City, UT; her brother, Robert Dummer; her sister, Jean (Dummer) Erickson; and two granddaughters, Kasha and Kari; four great grandchildren.

The scattering of cremation ashes will take place at a later date at a location to be determined. The family is grateful for condolences but declines flowers and donations.
