Mary Jane "Janie" (Haisler) Hromadka

Mary  Jane "Janie" Hromadka passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the age of 87.  Visitation will be 5 to 7 P.M. Sunday, March 26, 2023, in the Chapel of Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Dr.  The funeral service will be 2:30 P.M. Monday, March 27, 2023, in the chapel.  Interment will follow in Seaton Cemetery near Temple. Mary was born April 11, 1935, in Meeks, Texas, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Rusnak Haisler and was a 1952 graduate of Temple High School.  After high school, she moved to Houston and was employed by Prudential Insurance.  In December 1955, she married Frank Hromadka at Seaton Brethren Church.  For the remainder of her life, she was a homemaker.

Mary was an active member of Greater Waco Baptist Church.  Her strong Christian faith was demonstrated by her daily walk and the exemplary example she set for her children.  Mary no longer endures pain and suffering on this earth and now rests in the arms of the Lord our Savior and God.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Frank, her daughter Dorrie, sister Dorothy Vitek, brother in law Johnny Kostohryz, sister in law Shirlene Haisler, brother in law Frankie Haisler, brother in law Robert Hromadka and sister in law Maurene Hromadka.

Mary is survived by two sons, Donnie and wife Joanna of Austin & David and wife Connie of Waco, granddaughter Taylor Hromadka of Fort Worth, brothers Robert Lee Haisler and wife Shelia of Belton & Jerry Wayne Haisler and wife Helen of Temple, and sister Shirley Ann Kostohryz of McKinney;brother-in-law; Jerry Vitek.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
