Mary Ann Hively, 59, of Waco, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2018 at the Royal Manor nursing home surrounded by family. Funeral Services will be 2 pm Friday, January 26, 2018 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, with Rev. John Smiley officiating. A visitation with the family will be 1 pm Friday, January 26, 2018 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home. The family will host a reception after the service at Grace Gardens.
Mary Ann was born March 20, 1958 in Big Spring, Texas. She was a 1976 graduate of Waco High. She later earned her associates degree in Arts from McLennan Community College. Mary Ann had many natural talents that led her to work in many different fields. She worked in the restaurant and hotel business, counseling, cake decorating, and advertising. Her favorite job of all was being a mom to her two children. Her passions in life were God and her family. She had a strong faith in God and shared that with everyone she met. Mary Ann loved to spend time with her family and friends, at the lake and working in the garden planting flowers. She also loved doing puzzles and coloring beautiful pictures. She was a very social person and never met a stranger. Her heart was big and she was always a happy person no matter what was going on in her own life.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Alton and Norma Jean Thomas.
Mary Ann will be forever remembered by, son, David Wyrick and wife Charla of Waco; daughter, Allison Hanway and husband Jeremiah of Carlsbad, NM; sisters, Shelia Bruce and husband Clay of China Springs, Charlotte Parker of Hillsboro; brothers, Alton Thomas and wife Sancy Gail of Burnet, Jody Thomas of Clifton; grandchildren, Skyler, Sydney, and Logan Hanway, Will and Alana Knapp and coming soon Jaxon Wyrick,; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
