A visitation with the family will be the hour prior to the service beginning at 10AM. Burial will immediately follow at St. Paul Lutheran Memorial Park.
Marvin was born to Paul and Meta (Schraeder) Reich on December 5, 1929 in Osage, TX. He grew up in the Osage/Crawford area and attended school at Osage through 8th grade (all there was). He then attended and graduated from Crawford. Marvin would tell stories of sometimes not starting school until late October some years due to there being cotton in the field that needed to be picked.
Marvin and the love of his life, Christine Luedeker, were married at St. Paul Lutheran Church on September 3, 1949 where they have been members all their married life. Marvin loved his church, He taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, served on the council as president and several other positions through-out the years and helped in the construction of the church that stands today. Marvin worked in the Crawford area all his life where he managed several cotton gins and began to farm with his dad, and later his son Glenn and grandson Jicky until retirement in 2010. In the later years and after he retired Marvin’s passion was setting out on foot around the farm with his trusty eye hoe to chop weeds. He had a love for the land and believed you always tried to leave it better than you found it.
