Marvin E. Dutschmann, 81, of Woodway, TX passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 11th, 2025. Services for Marvin will take place Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellmead, TX beginning at 10am. Burial will be at Buckhorn Cemetery in Moody, TX at 3pm. A time of visitation with family will take place the night prior to the service on Tuesday, April 15 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home from 6-8pm.
Born a child of God on August 10, 1943, to Henry and Lydia (Tolkmitt) Dutschmann in Gatesville, TX. He was raised in The Grove , McGregor and Waco areas. He graduated from University High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy.
Marvin married Mary Wanda Dean in 1964 and together they treasured 3 children, Steven Dutschmann, Gary Dutschmann, and Lori Dutschmann Burris. Years later they were blessed with 4 wonderful grandchildren, Sam Dutschmann, Owen Burris, Peter Burris and Lucy Burris.
After working for Central Freight Lines for almost 37 years and driving 3 million miles, Marvin retired in 2008 to enjoy his grandchildren. During his retirement Marvin enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising cattle.
Marvin is survived by his wife of almost 61 years, Mary Wanda. Sons, Steven Dutschmann of McGregor, Gary Dutschmann and wife Jennifer of Dallas and daughter Lori Burris and husband Simon of Woodway. Grandsons, Sam Dutschmann ,Owen Burris and Peter Burris and granddaughter Lucy Burris. Brothers Rayford Dutschmann of Eddy, Arlan Dutschmann of Kilgore, Robert Dutschmann of Gladewater, Sister-in-laws, Carolyn Dutschmann, Anna Dutschmann, Shirley Dutschmann, Donna Dean, Debbie Hohle and husband Michael, Charlotte Mathews and husband Greg.
Preceding Marvin in death were his daughter-in-law Beth Dutschmann, his parents, brothers, Otto Dutschmann, Arvin Dutschmann, Winfred Dutschmann, Floyd Dutschmann, Eddie Dutschmann and Aubrey Dutschmann.
