Martin Garcia Jr

Martin Garcia, Jr., 53, of McGregor passed away May 25, 2013. A memorial service will be held at Grace Gardens Funeral Home at 10 am on Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
Martin was born in Mathis, TX to Martin and Alejandra Garcia. He lived all his life in McGregor where he graduated high school. Martin worked for the United States Postal Service for almost 30 years, finishing out his last few years at the McGregor Post Office where he was friends with people of his home town. He enjoyed many years of coaching boys baseball for the McGregor Little League. He loved working in his yard and had a passion for growing beautiful plants and flowers. He devoted his life to taking care of and spending as much time as possible with his family, children and especially his grandbabies.
Martin is preceded in death by his parents, Martin Garcia Sr. and Alejandra Sepeda Garcia.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Beatrice (Bebe) Garcia of McGregor; daughter, Amanda Ruiz and husband Chris of McGregor; son, Alex Garcia of Ft. Worth; sisters, Melinda Marquez of McGregor, Dalia Garcia Brown and husband Billy Wayne of McGregor, and Susana Gilmore and husband Rick of Robinson; brothers, Sammy Garcia and wife Norma of Abilene, Eddie Garcia of McGregor, and Danny Garcia of McGregor; grandchildren, Maddy and Alyssa Ruiz of McGregor; nieces and nephews, Samantha and Adam Brown, Andrew and Katie Garcia, Little Eddie Garcia, Danielle Garcia, Ricky and Noel Gilmore, and Steve Marquez; great nephews, Mason and Judson Marquez.
Pallbearers are Eddie Garcia and Little Eddie Garcia. Honorary pallbearers are Matt Hernandez, Tylor Wilson, Larry Taylor, David Cantu, Daniel Olivares and Andrew Garcia
