Marjorie Ann (Dorsett) Shelburne

Marjorie Ann Shelburne, 91, of Lorena, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 2, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. A funeral service will be 10am, Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Woodway, interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.  A Visitation with the family will be 5-7pm, Tuesday, October 5th, in the Grace Gardens Parlor.

Marjorie Ann Dorsett was born in Mexia, Texas on August 4th, 1930 to William and Estelle Bruton Dorsett.  She was a graduate of Waco High School.  Marjorie worked for Prudential Insurance for almost 30 years, retiring in 1992.  She enjoyed life, she liked to play cards and go to bingo, she was in a bowling league, was a daughter of the Nile, and a Merak dancer.  She was a faithful member of New Road Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Jeff Shelburne; parents; sister and brother in law, Donine and Ed Watkins.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Pamela Sue Jordon and husband Matthew, Ellen Kay Ruiz and husband Jesse, Stanton James Shelburne and wife Jana, Colleen Ann Jones and husband Jerry; sister, Connie Busby and husband Donald; Grandchildren, Teresa Shaath, Bradly Jordon, Gaylon Thompson, Billy Thompson, Christy Crooker, Brian Shelburne, David Shelburne, Jodi Vandergriff; and 20 great grandchildren.
