Maria (Cisneros) Garcia

Maria Cisneros Garcia, 81, of Bruceville, Texas, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.  A Funeral Service will be 10 am, Monday, March 7th at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.  A Visitation with the family will be 2 -4 pm, Sunday, March 6th at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.  A private burial will be at Waco Memorial Park.

Maria was born October 10th, 1940 in Matamoros, Mexico to Perciliana and Romulo Cisneros.  Maria met Romualdo Garcia in Brownsville, Texas, where the couple married and started their family.  Maria was a hard worker, as a migrant worker for many years and transitioned into working at a nursery, working with plants and flowers, this is where her love for poinsettias began. When she moved to Waco to be near one of her daughters, she continued working in the nursery industry.

Maria was faithful to the gospel, she enjoyed witnesses to others and her family.  Maria made a happy home, mastering sewing and cooking for her family.  She was a talented gardener, growing beautiful ivy plants. Her greatest joy of course were her grandchildren.

Maria is preceded in death by her loving husband; sisters, Rita, Ninfa; and brother, Elijio.

Left to carry on her legacy are her children, Rogelio Garcia and wife, Norma, Argelia Ramirez and husband Gaudencio, Sylvia Johnston and husband Jimmy; 11 grandchildren; 12 and a half great grandchildren; siblings, Romulo Cisneros, Hector Cisneros, Licha Ochoa, Jelitia Ibarra; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family wishes to thank Texas Home Health Hospice and all their nurses and staff for the loving care of their mom.
