Margret participated in Bell County groups until 1996 when it became necessary for her to have assistance in helping her live an active life. At this time she moved into the Crazy Water Hotel in Mineral Wells, Texas.
While she lived in Belton, margret was active in the Golden Age Club of First Baptist Church of Belton. She loved taking trips to the many places to which the group traveled and really enjoyed the monthly meetings.
Margret was also active with the Belton Senior Center. She would prepare envelopes of information about the countyto be mailed to people of the community, fill bags with government surplus food, and give these items to those in need. Her very, very favorite thing to do with the Senior Center group was to play in the band. She was extremely proud of her kazoo with the Campbell soup can on the end. This band was well received at several other Senior Centers throughout the area.
In 2003, She, her son, Tom and his wife Virginia moved to Waco. At this time she became a resident of the Regent Care Center. Here she found love and attention from everyone who worked to fill her days with great joy.
