Margit Hunter departed our lives on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Providence Hospital. Memorial Services are being held at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 7, 2012. Proceedings will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Margit was born on December 15, 193 in Hodmezovasarhely, Hungary. During her childhood, surrounded by World War II, she witnessed and experienced events that no child should be subjected to. Those events made Margit the self-sufficient, loving and protective mother she was. Margit came to the United States as a young woman in 1955. She lived in Kentucky, Philadelphia and California before residing in Texas.
Margit was multi-talented and many of us benefited from her abilities as an excellent seamstress, interior decorator, gardener and cook.
She is mourned by her daughter, Delinke (Della) Setser and husband Ron; her grandson, Chris Madura and wife Jessica; great-grandchildren Scott and Kalynn Madura; son Omar (Sonny) G. Jenkins and wife Lynn; grandchildren Brandon and Shannon; son Robert Jenkins and wife Carol; grandchildren Leigh, Austin, Amanda and her husband Edwin; great-grandchildren Alex, John and Logan; sister, Penny Munz and her four legged “granddaughter” Celine. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Delinke (Della) Banks.
The family Thanks the countless friends for their cards, phone calls and texts. A very special Thank You goes out to the Providence Hospital Nursing Staff for their diligent care of Margit these past couple of weeks. Especially to nurses Susan H. and Melind C.
