Marc Newton Fisk of McGregor passed away Tuesday morning, February 3, 2015, with his family by his side at the age of 44. Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, February 22, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Chamness and Jimmy Hering officiating. A reception will immediately follow at Grace Gardens.Marc was born February 6, 1970 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He moved to McGregor in the summer of 1970. He was the son of Frank D. and Gretta (Garrett) Fisk. He was a 1988 graduate of McGregor High School where he was a member of the 1987 State-finalist Football Team. He continued his education at MCC and Angelo State University.Marc will be remembered by family and friends as a friendly, fun-loving, kind-hearted guy, whose impact will remain in our hearts forever. Marc enjoyed fishing and other outdoor activities. He had recently lived on the Texas Coast, where he enjoyed many sunrises and sunsets, walking along the beach collecting shells and interesting rocks and fishing. He enjoyed taking pictures of these scenes and shared many on facebook and through texts.Preceding him in death was his father, Frank D. Fisk; and grandparents, Jack N. and Lee Etta "MeMama" Garrett, Ross and Lois Fisk, and Merrick and Clara Evans.Survivors include his mother, Gretta Garrett Fisk of McGregor; a son, Trevor Fisk of Robinson; a daughter, Maiana Fisk of Waco; three sisters, Michelle Fisk Chiles of McGregor, Becky Fisk Jenkins and husband, Jimmy, of China Spring, Teresa Fisk Keel of Waco; and nieces and nephews.We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the McGregor EMS and staff at Providence Hospital for the compassionate care they provided Marc and his family.For those desiring, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
