Manuel Sanchez

Manuel Sanchez, 58, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at his residence. Services will begin at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 1st with visitation to follow until 6:00 p.m. at the Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel, 8220 Woodway Drive.

Manuel was born February 11, 1956 in Waco to Julian Cruz and Mary Sanchez. Manuel was a local painter. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and a favorite uncle among his nephews and nieces. He had a love of music, especially Tejano music. Manuel had a beautiful singing voice. He will be missed, but we know he is rejoicing in God's loving arms.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Lisa Marie Sanchez; sister, Teresa Cruz Pulido; brothers, Johnny Cruz and David Felan; his grandfather, Sebero Sanchez; and three great nephews, Dominic, Roman and Gabriel Rodriquez.

Manuel is survived by his wife of 34 years, Hermalinda Garcia; sons, Michael Sanchez, Lionel Maldonado Jr., Romeo Maldonado and Christopher Maldonado; daughters, Gracie Sanchez and Rebecca Senicero; 14 grandchildren; brother, Roy Cruz; sisters, Julia Rodriguez, Janie Ortiz and Aurora Molina all of Waco, Lala Cruz of Itasca and Irene Cruz of Hillsboro; a loving half sister, Juanita and Vicente Navarro of Waco; and several other half sisters and brothers.
