With heavy hearts, the family of Lynn Keith Roberson mourns his passing at the age of 78 on March 3, 2024, at his residence in Lorena, Texas. A memorial service to celebrate Lynn's life will from 12pm - 2pm, March 9, 2024, at Woodway First United Methodist Church.
Lynn was born on April 13, 1945, in Port Arthur, Texas, and from a young age, his love for baseball was evident. He pursued higher education at Lamar University before marrying his beloved wife, Janis Nell Carver, on January 30, 1964. Lynn dedicated over 40 years of his life to a successful career as an insurance adjuster, working in various cities such as Houston, Waco, Temple, and Killeen, Texas. He also served as the manager of the WTK branch for Crawford and Company.
Throughout his life, Lynn found joy in coaching Little League baseball and served in the Texas Army National Guard. He was an active member of Woodway First United Methodist Church and cherished any moment spent with his family, especially his four grandchildren. Lynn and Jan enjoyed traveling together, creating cherished memories on vacations to the mountains, beaches, and Disney parks during his retirement years.
Preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Eddy Roberson; sister, Brenda June "BJ" Thomas.
Survived by his loving wife, Jan, Lynn leaves behind his children, Austin Roberson and wife April, Erin Martinez and husband Mark, as well as his adored grandchildren, Emma Kate, Grayson, Josephine, and Fletcher. He is also survived by his sister, Robin Guilbault, niece Courtney Linn Sanders with husband Mike, nephews, Jacob Guilbault and Noah Guilbault, and great-nieces Sloane Paige and Maddison Lauren.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Providence Community Hospice, Blue Bonnet Home Health, especially Ashontee, Kim, Ashley, and Taylor, as well as Lucy's Home Health, Nicoletta, Rosie Valdez, and Gloria Walker, for their exceptional care during Lynn's final weeks.
In honor of Lynn's legacy, contributions may be made to Midway Little League or Church Under The Bridge. Lynn Roberson was a remarkable man, a source of inspiration to all who knew him. His absence will be profoundly felt but his memory will forever be cherished.
