February 21, 1935 — November 18, 2020

Waco, Texas, formerly North Richland Hills, Texas

Lunell Davis Corley (Lou), 85 of Waco, TX, passed away November 18, 2020.  Ms. Corley was a long-time resident of North Richland Hills, TX.  There will be a private family service 10:30am, Friday,  November 27, 2020, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Woodway, Texas.  Out of respect for the current health crisis, the family encourages you to participate by watching the live stream on Grace Gardens Facebook page, which will be added to this page after the service.

Lou was born on February 21, 1935, in Florien, LA, to Minnie Midkiff and Jesse Davis.   She and her husband, Lenard Conrad, were childhood friends and high school sweethearts.  Lou and Conrad married in August 1955.   They started their military life in Louisiana and spent the next 28 years serving for our country.  They established life-long friends throughout their military life.   Church involvement was important to her and each new location brought a new church family.

For Lou, life was simple – love family and love others.  She sacrificed and showed unconditional love to those around her.  If you knew her, it was obvious her family was the most important aspect of her life.

Lou is proceeded in death by the love of her life, Lenard Conard Corley, as well as two sisters, Oneda Miller and Audrey Oxley.    She was most proud of her family and taught us how to love unconditionally and give to others.  She has a daughter, Cindy Weier & husband Mark; son, Paul Corley & wife, Denise.   She adored her precious grandchildren, Jason Chisum, Brooke Ackley & her husband Freeland, Chase Corley & his wife, Rebekah and Chad Corley & his wife, Emily.   Step-grandchildren were added to her family and she welcomed Bethany George, Allison Harrell and Kristen Adams.  Blessings were abundant in her 13 great-grandchildren.

Lunell and Conrad Corley will be buried together at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a future date.   Memorial contributions may be made to The Gary Sinise Foundation which supports those who sacrifice and defend our country, active duty, veterans, first responders, and their loved ones.   Donations can be made at garysinisefoundation.org
