Lucio Ruiz, 37, of Waco, Texas, passed away on May 11, 2023.
Lucio was born on April 25, 1986 to Ignacio and Mary Ascención Ruiz in Waco, Texas.
After Lucio graduated from Midway High School in 2004, he started working in the restaurant business as a cook. However, concrete construction had been in roots. Lucio later on began working in the concrete business as well and owned his business, Tejas Concrete Placement.Lucio enjoyed spending his spare time cooking or bar-b-queing, watching wrestling & The Cowboys, and playing with his pets: Snoopy, Fabi, and Minnie.
Lucio was predeceased by his mother, Maria Ascención Ruiz Carrillo. He is survived by his father, Ignacio Ruiz Sr, his siblings, Eve Ruiz-De La Cruz, Ignacio Ruiz Jr, Juan Ángel Suárez, Brianda Ruiz Salinas, handful of nieces & nephews, and his fiancé, Amber Davis.
Honorary pallbearers: Ignacio Ruiz Jr., Aaron Ruiz, Juan Ángel Suarez, Arturo De La Cruz, Elliott Salinas, Ethan Baker, Rafael Wilson, Jacob Scarborough, Dennis Carrau, and Jarred Wolfe.
A visitation service will be taking place on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 6-7 and a Rosary from 7-8pm at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, Woodway, Texas. On Friday, May 19, 2023 at 1030am, a Catholic Mass ceremony will be held at St Francis on the Brazos, Waco, Texas.Burial to follow at Waco Memorial Funeral Home, Cemetery & Cremations, Waco, Texas.A reception will be held thereafter at Sacred Heart Catholic Church CCE hall, Waco, Texas.
