Linda Diane Todd, 62, of China Spring, passed away at a local hospital, June 11, 2014, surrounded by her family. Visitation with Diane's family will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday evening, June 13, at Grace Gardens Funeral Home, 8220 Woodway Drive.
Diane was born to Geneva Neal Blackwell and Nathan Blackwell on January 29, 1952 in Quitman, Mississippi. Diane's family moved to Waco in 1962 where she attended school at South Junior through 10th grade. She married William Lester Robinson, Sr., with whom she had her family. They divorced in 2004. Diane married James Matthew Todd in 2005, and they enjoyed fishing and traveling to the coast and the Caribbean.
Diane worked in manufacturing during her life, Avery-Dennison, at Mars, Inc. and retired from there in 2007. She was employed at Texas Life Insurance Company and retired from there in 2014.
Diane was a hard-working woman and made friends wherever she went. She was a wonderful mother and the backbone of her family. She was always willing to help anyone, and was the big sister her younger sister looked up to. She will be greatly missed by her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Nathan Blackwell; and her sister, Bennie Sue Miller.
Diane is survived by her husband, James Matthew Todd; mother, Geneva Dearman; children, William L. Robinson, Jr., and fiance, Carmen Smith, Tammy R. Kirk of Austin, Travis W. Robinson; sisters, Martha Jackson and her husband, Henry of Hallsburg; Sandra Eaton and husband, Rick, of Bruceville-Eddy; Pamela Blackwell of Waco; brother, James Blackwell of Waco; Travis Blackwell and wife, Jan, of Belton; sisters in law, Allison Todd of Waco, and Susan and Pat Duecy of Waco; six grandchildren, William L. Robinson III "Billy", Brandon Lee Robinson, Kenneth R. Black, Jr., Karissa D. Black, Gage Robinson, Kylie Robinson; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Diane's memory may be made to The American Cancer Society or Texas Oncology. The family greatly appreciates the care and compassion shown to Diane by staff at Texas Oncology and Hillcrest Hospital.
