Linda M. (Moreno) Guerra

Linda Moreno Guerra, 79, of Moody, passed away, Saturday, January 7, 2023.  A Funeral Mass will be 10 am, January 12, 2023 at St. Eugene’s Catholic Church, in McGregor.  A visitation with the family will be 5-6:30 pm, with a Rosary at 6:30, January 11, 2023 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Linda was born February 11, 1943 to Jesus and Noemi Moreno in Gonzales, Texas.  In April of 1961, she married the love of her life, Ponciano “Ponce” Guerra.  The couple had six children, moving to Moody in 1973 to raise their family.

Linda was a very hard worker, she was able to balance a full time job, keeping house, raising children, and being an active member of her church.  She loved to read, watch Tennis, and root for the cowboys.  She was a faithful and caring wife, she gave everything she had to care for her husband in his illness.  After her retirement, she was a very active grandmother, raising and helping to raise her grandchildren and other children who needed her time and talents.  Linda was a giving woman who loved big and gave all, she will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband; children, Daniel Lee Guerra, Sr., Lucinda Ann Guerra, Janet Guerra; and brother, Joe Moreno.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, David Ray Guerra and wife Kristina, Sarah Jane Guerra, Gregory Paul Guerra and wife Candice Lynn; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 4 sisters and numerous extended family; as well as many friends.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Active Pallbearers are, Daniel Lee Guerra, Jr., Gabriel Thomas Guerra, Mitchell Robert Guerra, Dennis Lee Warren, Jr., Eric Van Tut Warren, and Joe Ponciano Warren.  Alternate Pallbearers will be John David Warren, and Steven Wayne Longacre.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Alexandria Renѐe Guerra, Elizabeth Anne Warren, Jennifer Marie Guerra, and Jordan Taylor Guerra.
