Lien Hansen

Lien N. Hansen, age 71 of Waco, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday evening, January 14, 2011.

Lien was born on April 12, 1939 in Saigon, Vietnam. She married Gunnar Hansen, a U.S. serviceman and moved to the United States with their two daughters in 1962. Lien was a devoted Army wife and dedicated mother, steadfast Christian and a proud American citizen. After Gunnar’s retirement in 1971, she and her husband resided in Killeen, Texas. After her husband’s death in 2007, Lien moved to Waco to live with her eldest daughter and son-in-law.

Lien will be forever remembered with loving gratitude and appreciation by her two daughters Desiree Normajean Dickens and Lien Emilie Segler, son-in-laws Bobby Dickens and Darrell Segler, grandchildren Jason Hendrix and spouse Jamie, Jesse Hendrix and spouse Kristen and Jennifer and Christopher Wireman, great-grandchildren Robert Logan Wireman and Jadon Hendrix and great-grandchild –to-be Jolene Hendrix.

Cremation will be at Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Waco with a springtime graveside memorial service scheduled in April at the Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
