Leona Hall Curtis, 89, of Waco, passed away February 08, 2015. Graveside Services will be Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Peters officiating at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Waco. A visitation will be held 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.
Leona Hall Curtis was born on February 25, 1925 to I.C. and Sally Williams in Corpus Christi, Texas. She attended school and grew up in Killeen.
She married James Weldon Hall in 1942. They lived in France, Norway, and travelled the world with Jim's civil service job. They moved to Waco in the 1960s. Leona worked for Waco Pathology Lab and she owned and operated a consignment store. Jim Hall preceded her in death in 1977.
She married Hershell Curtis in 1985 and he preceded her in death in 2014. Leona was also preceded in death by her parents, sister Eula Mae Anderson, and brothers Ike and Clyde Williams.
She is survived by her son James Hall of Waco, daughter and son-in-law Kathy and James Studensky of Waco, granddaughter and husband Laura and James O'Donnell of Houston, nieces Dorothy Keele and Patricia Neely, and nieces and nephews, and cousins from the Hall family. She is also survived by her extended family of step daughters Billie Reinke, Anita Donaldson, Connie Swiderski, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her special friends Gwen Doss and Bunny Doss Vaughter.
