Leland Oval Young, 86, of Robinson, passed away March 14, 2012 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Buckhorn Cemetery in Moody, TX.
Leland was born May 15, 1925 to Eddie Roland Young and Annie Belle Scott in the town of Cleveland, TX (Liberty County). He married Estell (Sewall) Young March 31, 1959 at the First Presbyterian Church in Smithville, TX, and they resided in LaGrange, TX. They remained married for 46 years before Estell passed away January 22, 2006.
In Leland’s early working years he was a Geophysical Surveyor traveling the country from Canada’s border to the border of Mexico establishing meets and bounds. He later was a Dairyman until he retired. Leland loved gardening and animals.
Leland was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Wayne; and sister, Ruth Elaine.
