Lee Pridemore, Jr.

Leland W. Pridemore, Jr.  “Lee” died peacefully in San Antonio, Tx on March 3, 2020 at the age of 63.  The  memorial service will be  March 16th at 10:00 A.M. at Parkview Baptist Church,1100 East Lakeshore Dr. Waco, Tx 76708, with Rev. Joey Crenshaw officiating,.

Lee was born on September 26, 1956 in San Antonio, TX to Leland and Charlene Pridemore. After high school, Lee joined the Navy, where he served for 21 years as a Machinist Mate, Recruiter and Company Commander, retiring in 1995 as a Senior Chief. He immediately began working as a Naval Science instructor in Slidell, LA. In 1996 he assumed the role as Naval Science Instructor at La Vega High School in Waco, Tx, where he impacted many students for 15 years.

His military awards include: Navy Achievement Medal with 3-Gold Stars, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Battle Efficiency Award, Good Conduct Medal with 4-Stars, National Defense Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, and Sea Service award with 3-Stars.

Lee was passionate about equipping the next generation with leadership skills that would later impact the community and the world as students graduated the NJROTC program. He also passed his time fishing, hunting, RV camping and cracking dad jokes.

Lee is survived by his 4 children Jason Higgins, Gini Harper, Trey Pridemore and Victoria Crenshaw; 9 Grandchildren: Blake, Bailee, Emma, Jamin, Jenna, Easton, Jeremiah, Levi & Logan; his sisters: Karen Soucie & Judy Bliss, his brothers Clayton Blanchard and Michael Brecka.
