Lawrence "Pud" Buice

Lawrence “Pud” Buice age 81, of Speegleville passed away Saturday September 29, 2012 at a local nursing facility. Funeral Services will be 10AM Wednesday October 3, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Tuesday October 2, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home Chapel.

“Pud” was born October 13, 1930 in Waco, Texas to Louie and Jo Henry Buice. He graduated from Midway High School in 1949 and went to colleges at Daniel Baker and Howard Payne. He worked for A&M Feed and Fertilizer Control Board until his retirement. He belonged to the Crawford Masonic Lodge #585 where he served as Grand Master in 1992-1993. He was a longtime member of Speegleville Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Calvin and Joe Carl Buice; a sister Mildred Johnson.

“Pud” is survived by his wife Barbara of 53 years; two sons Donnie and his wife Debbie and Ronnie and his wife Mary Beth; two sisters Nell Barton and Laura Jean Stafford; 4 grandchildren Matthew and his wife Brandie, Tabitha and her husband Justin, Lindsey and her husband Travis and Coty; 6 great grandchildren Kendall, Madison, Colton, Camrie, Caden and Cooper.

Pallbearers: Matthew Buice, Coty Buice, Justin Schuerg, Travis Volcik, Randee Johnson, Joe Stewart.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jim Howard, Bruce Stewart, Joe Barton, J Barton.
