Larry Goodwin

Larry Joe Goodwin, 62, of Moody passed away Saturday in Moody. Services will be 5 pm-7 pm Tuesday, June 4, at 1166 Old Country Road in Moody with Tommy Pruett officiating. There is no scheduled visitation.
He was born May 31, 1951 to Joe and Katherine Goodwin. On August 14, 1969, he married Shirley Borchardt. Larry worked as a truck driver for over ten years and retired to take care of all of his animals. Larry loved to fish, mow lawns, and tinker with lots of things. He was a very loving and kind hearted man, a caring father who loved all of his children and grandchildren dearly.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother and father; and his sister, Janice Ash.
Larry is survived by his wife Shirley of 43 years; children, Shelly Avila and husband David, Joey Goodwin of Moody, Tanya Goodwin and life partner Taryn Scott, Kelley Flores and life partner Candi Jones, and Trey Goodwin and wife Chelsie, all of Moody; nine grandchildren, Elexis Goodwin, Justin Flores, Jessica Avila, Elizabeth Molden, Dalton and Russell Goodwin, Andrew Avila, Caleb VanZandt and Nolan Lofland; and three great grandchildren, Jacob Avila, Aubrie Goodwin, and Braden Bentley. He was also survived by his sisters, Sue Goodwin, Annette Magana and husband Jesse, all of Moody, and Dana Goodwin and Tommy Pruett of Copperas Cove and many nieces and nephews who will truly miss him a lot.
