Larry Dwayne Frazier went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2023, at his home in Woodway, TX, after a long battle with cancer. He was born November 22, 1949, in Lubbock, TX, son of Alvin and Lillie Mae Frazier (nee Gibson), and spent most of his life in Amarillo, TX. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1968. He was employed by KVII while attending Amarillo College, followed by what is now West Texas A&M University. After graduation, he went to work as a district manager for Burger King, covering a large area of West Texas, retiring in 2000, after 24 years with the company. His favorite part of the job was working with the young people, teaching them not only how to make the best burgers, but a good work ethic that hopefully would follow them throughout their lives.
On September 2, 2005, he married Vivian “Vicki” Oliver (nee Smock) in Derby, KS. Together they launched on an 18 year adventure that included a year working magic at Walt Disney World, followed by purchase of a motorhome and seasonal work at campgrounds/RV resorts around the USA. He enjoyed traveling, attending live theatre and concerts, sharing stories with those they met along the way. The lifestyle was abandoned and the couple settled in Woodway in the fall of 2022.Their first priority was to find a church home, and found one in First Woodway Baptist Church.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles A. Frazier, and step-son John Oliver. He is survived by his wife, sisters Donna (Glenn) Miller and Vicky (Ralph) Lemme, step-daughters Carrie Platt & Lindsay (Drew) Robertson, grandchildren Kieran Platt, Colin Platt, Nathaniel “Buddy” Merth, Jessie Robertson, and Connor Robertson, nieces and nephews.
No services will be held per Larry’s wishes.
