Larry Bracco

Larry Bracco age, 64 of Waco passed away Monday March 5, 2012 at a local hospital. Funeral Services will be 10AM Thursday March 8, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home with Chaplain Greg Knippa officiating. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Wednesday March 7, 2012 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home.

Larry was born January 7, 1948 in Washington, DC to Edward and Betty Bracco. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1966. He attended Navarro College on a baseball scholarship. He worked for D.E. Shipp Belting and recently retired from the McLennan County Sherriff’s Department after 23 years of service. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, playing golf, and going to the lake. He loved watching his grandchildren grow. He loved watching them play football, gymnastics, basketball, and t-ball. His mother, children, and grandchildren were the light of his life.

He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Cynthia Grace Bracco, April 12, 1955; and his father, Edward Lloyd Bracco, March 11, 1992.

Larry is survived by his mother, Betty Bracco of Waco; son Lance Bracco and wife Shonna of Crawford; daughter Ashley Moody and husband Rob of Valley Mills; and daughter Lesley Winget and husband David of Speegleville. Grandchildren Lance Jr., Kamryn, Landon, Brooke, and Hayley. Several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers are W.H. “Hayes” Moore, Boyd Hadaway, Ricky Armstrong, David Gaskamp, James Huff, Rob Moody, David Winget, Jr., and Lance Bracco, Jr.

The family would like to thank the 8th floor nursing staff and Hospice Team of Scott and White Hospital in Temple for their compassionate care to our father during this time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
