Larissa McLean, a beloved mother, sister, gammy , and friend, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, in Temple, Texas, due to medical complications. She was 54 years old. Born on June 23, 1970, in Waco, Texas, to her loving parents, Larry Little and Mary Dockery.
Larissa's life can be characterized by her unwavering kindness and commitment to caring for others. As a certified medication aide, certified nurse assistant and private care provider, she dedicated her professional to helping those in need. Her compassion extended beyond her career; she was a beacon of hope for many individuals, always eager to lend a hand to those less fortunate, volunteering her time in her community with local churches and food banks. She truly believed in the power of service and demonstrated it through her actions, consistently striving to making positive differences in the lives of others.
Larissa's spirit was one of warmth and kind-hearted nature. She had an innate ability to connect with others, make those around her feel valued and cared for, she always put their needs before her own. Her family and friends will remember her for her big heart and her unwavering support.
Whether she was fishing on the lake, camping under the stars, or simply spending quality time with her grandchildren, her warm spirit and zest for life were evident in everything she did. Her love for catching the smallest fish to the biggest fish was only rivaled by the love she had for her family, who were the central focus of her life.
Her family and friends fondly recall the stories of her fishing adventures in each tale filled with laughter and love. Larissa’s passion for life and her generous spirit touched everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her loving father, Larry Little, and her loving mother, Mary Dockery. Larissa leaves behind her sister, Jennifer Rodriguez, and her husband Johnny; her sons, David McLean and his wife Rebecka, and Bobby McLean and his wife Kellie; her daughter Amanda Balz and her husband Asa; and her eight cherished grandchildren. Each of them was a source of joy in her life, and she took great pride in being an involved and loving family member.
Larissa's Celebration of Life will be held on April 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Grace Garden, located at 8220 Woodway Drive, Waco, Texas 76712. Friends, family, and all whose lives she touched are invited to come together to celebrate her remarkable life and the love she shared with everyone around her.
Larissa McLean's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many. Rest in peace, dear Larissa
