Lana Bento

Lana Kaye Bento, 55, peacefully departed her worldly home in Hewitt, Texas and went home to be with the LORD on October 16, 2024. The family will lay her to rest at Rosemound Cemetery, Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10am. There will be a Celebration of her life at noon, Friday, October 25, 2024 at First Baptist Church Lorena with a time of fellowship and remembrance following.

She entered this world on April 8, 1969 in Colusa, California, born to Junior David Hurtig and Sylvia Ann Davis. Lana grew up in the small town of Williams where she excelled academically and athletically. She had exceptional drive to pursue anything she set her mind to. For instance, at the age of 21 she became a Deputy Sheriff for Yolo County and succeeded.

A change in career in 1998 led her to meet the love her life Mark Bento. Culminating in marriage in 2000 to become a family of 4 with Brandon and Tyler. Lana and Mark moved to the small town of Arbuckle to raise their family. In 2002 Lana gave Birth to Bethany. Once again, her drive and entrepreneurship lead her to opening a business of her own, a coffee shop known as Bento's Downtown Perk. While still residing in Arbuckle her outlook on business grew where she later picked up on promotional products and started Bento's Promotions. In 2019 she carried over her business of promotional products after the family's move to Texas. She was a hard-working woman doing everything she could to pursue in the work she enjoyed while also caring for her family.

She was a woman who could do it all and was very successful in every endeavor she pursued. Lana was a devoted patriot. She found enjoyment in being around family, tackling the outdoors, bowling and photography. Capturing pictures of the Lords beautiful creation. Most of all she had a heart of Gold and a heart on fire for Jesus.

Lana was a beloved Wife to her husband Mark Bento; Mother to her children Brandon, Tyler, and Bethany; Daughter to Sylvia; and sister to Jolene, Greg, James, Jerry, Scott and many nieces and nephews. One of the biggest joys was being a grandmother to Toby, Luke, Austin, Noah, and Alanna. Reunited in heaven with grandparents, papa John and grandma Zora Throughton; Father, Daddy D and Dave; Father-in-law Dennis; and sister-in-law Donna.
